Why Purchase a Riverside Home?

When one of my clients came looking for a home near a river within the East Bay area, I recommended Riverside, California as the perfect place to settle in. Its beautiful cityscape, unique culture and the arts as well as its thriving economy make it one of the perfect places to settle in the state of California. If you are still not convinced, then here are the other features of the city.

In terms of climate, Riverside has a semi-arid Mediterranean climate. Cities in South California facing the Pacific Ocean usually have this weather. The city has a hot and dry summer while its winter is described as mild and relatively wet. In terms of environment, the city government has initiated the planting of trees in the area to defend the city against air pollution. This was strongly supported by the residents because they found out that the city is called a “smog belt” due to its above-average level of pollution. The pollution however has greatly reduced due to the tree planting project as well as regulating industrial companies in disposing pollutants to the air.

The city has one of the most improving economies in the area and continues to rise steadily. You won’t be idle for long when moving in to the city because of the employers and companies ready to hire you based on your qualifications. The top employers of the city include the University of California, Riverside which employs about 6,740 residents. This is followed by the County of Riverside which has about 6,395 employees. Riverside Unified School District is not far by hiring 3,867 employees. There are other companies in the city and one of this is the City of Riverside which employs 2,619 employees.

Because the city is near Hollywood, Riverside is often the location for several films and the filming industry in the city continues to thrive in the past years. Some of the films that shot in the city was Eagle Eyed which was shot in March Air Force Base, in the movie What’s the Worst That Could Happen was shot in Mission Inn and the Riverside County Historic Courthouse. There are other films that have used the city because it is accessible from Hollywood yet offers distinct and unique environment which is very different from what exists in the studios of Hollywood.

Lastly, there are many modes of transportation to choose from when in Riverside. You can use the highways such as interstates and state routes. You can also ride in the railway transit that provides quick access to neighboring cities as well as the Amtrak and AC Transit which provides bus service to commuters. The Riverside Municipal Airport caters to the needs of business and private aviation. The nearest commercial airport is about 20 miles of Riverside which is the famous Ontario International Airport. With so many features of the city, you’ll surely have plans of staying here. But you need to hire a realtor first, mainly because of the following reasons.
